Record temperatures yesterday, 19 July 2022, while one of our Drone Services teams was conducting Drone Topographical Land Surveying on one of the HS2 construction sites.
DTA has been working on HS2 surveying and PR Video/Photography for more than 3.5 years now.
Working has since encompassed all extremes of weather, snow, fog (lots of fog), rain (lots of rain…on one occasion our trusty 4x4 having to rescue a HS2 colleague from his much newer Toyota Hilux with mud up to ¾ of wheel height), and now in record heat.
Mid-morning when taking the photo below temperature was 32°C and rising.
Around midday temperature hit 41.1°C
Sadly, given global warming, we will all too soon see these temperatures exceeded again.
